Warrick County Schools believes that you are your child's first and most important teacher.

It is our belief that parents, families and community engagement is essential to a student's overall success. Research documents the positive effect that your involvement will have in shaping your child into a life-long learner. We encourage you to take a proactive role in promoting the value of education in your home.

We understand that in order for parent's to be empowered, you must be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to support your child's learning experience. We have created this section of our website to provide you with information and resources to help you become an active partner in your child's education. Volunteers are always needed within the school buildings. Please contact your child's school to find out how you can assist.


Assistance is available in all schools to help students who may be experiencing difficulties, which affect their academic success or social well-being.

In addition to the classroom teacher, nurses, health aides, counselors, home/school advisors, and social workers can provide temporary and longer-term help with special needs. These needs might be in the area of career and college choice, health concerns, unusual academic difficulty, personal well-being, alcohol/drug use, abnormal behavior, and suicide tendencies, to name some. Students may initiate a request for help by contacting a teacher, administrator, or special staff member in their school. Parents may initiate a request for assistance for a student by calling the school office or the Warrick County School Corporation.


In following "Rights and Privacy Guidelines" the Warrick County School Corporation may release certain "directory information" contained in the educational record of a student that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy. This information may include, but not be limited to, the student"s name, address, parents" names and their home phone number, major field of study, participation in official recognized activities and sports, height and weight of members of athletic teams, dates of attendance, awards received, motor vehicle information, hair and eye color, race, sex, date of birth, grade level, and other similar information.

Parents of a student less than 18 years of age or of a student who is at least 18 years of age desiring to object to disclosure of any or certain of the categories of directory information should request form 4120-E-2 (Denial of Permission to Release Media Information and Directory Information Without Prior or Written Consent) from the school.
