Destruction of Special Education Records
PUBLIC NOTICE Destruction of Special Education Records The Warrick County School Corporation, Department of Special Education, announces its intention to destroy graduate and discontinued records that were developed to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in Warrick County Schools. This notice is in compliance with federal, state and local policies. Records will be destroyed on July 1, 2025 based on the following criteria: Students who graduated with a high school diploma or earned a certificate of completion in 2019-2020. Or anyone born on or before June 30, 2003. These records will be destroyed as they are no longer needed for educational planning purposes. A parent who is a legal guardian or student (18 years old or older) may request records prior to destruction by contacting the Special Education Records Office at 812-897-6578. You will be required to produce identification or provide verification data to acquire these records.
