Early Childhood Screenings 2024-2025

Early Childhood Screening

State and federal law requires local school districts to provide child find procedures for special education.  The purpose of the screening is to help identify preschool children ages 3-5 (not attending kindergarten) who may be in need of early special education services.  This may include services for students with delays in communication, motor skills, adaptive, social, or conceptual development.

While the Warrick County School Corporation tries to raise awareness about the screening with all parents of preschool-aged children, it is NOT necessary for all children to attend.  It is up to the parents to decide if their child may need this developmental screening due to concerns about potential developmental delays.
