WE BELIEVE THAT EDUCATION IS THE DOORWAY TO THE FUTURE! Warrick County School Corporation is an IDOE School of Promising Practice!
Dear Warrick County Parents and Guardians,
This letter is to share our plans for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. I greatly appreciate the input from teachers, parents, Mr. Aaron Franz, Administrator Warrick County Health Department, my central office team, our School Board and the many others who contributed to this plan. We will constantly monitor the situation and work closely with our local Health Department to make the very best decisions we can make. The Warrick County School Corporation will do everything in our power to ensure our learning environment is safe and positive so students can learn to the very best of their ability.
For up to date information, including the full re-entry plan, view our COVID-19 tab on the website.
The Warrick County School Corporation, Department of Special Education, announces its intention to destroy graduate records that were developed to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in Warrick County Schools. This notice is in compliance with federal, state and local policies.
Records will be destroyed on July 1, 2020 based on the following criteria:
Students who graduated with a high school diploma in 2016-2017.
Students who received a certificate of completion in 2016-2017.
These records will be destroyed as they are no longer needed for educational planning purposes. A parent who is a legal guardian or student (18 years old or older) may request records prior to destruction by contacting the Special Education Records Office at 812-897-6578. You will be required to produce identification or provide verification data to acquire these records.
As school leaders and educators, we are working hard to prepare our schools for a safe and successful start to the 2020-2021 school year. Without knowing what orders and guidelines we will be under in August, we are developing a multitude of plans that will address a wide range of scenarios for our return to school.
Please review tenative plans to prepare for the fall semester.

Children under the age of five who are living in Warrick County are eligible to register for a book to arrive at their home every month. The books are published and distributed by the Dollywood Foundation. The books are a FREE gift from our community. The initial funds were raised by a dedicated group of students who want to see the program continue for years to come. Warrick Literacy and Educational Connections (WLEC) is a 501C3 non-for-profit organization that is working to make that dream a reality
